Among the especially designed automobile platform from the M3 family of BMW was
the e90. This specific platform became the basis of the future current 3-series

is 53 mm longer than the recent 3-Series vehicles. It will also have extensive
use of aluminum in front-load bearing structure and a 50:50 front-to-rear weight
ratio for sporty handling.
The e90 would also be a new rear wheel drive platform that rides in a wheelbase
that is 35mm longer than the current platforms of 3-Series and it would have new
6-cylinder engines with Valvetronic and Direct Injection that has a magnesium

More likely, the M3 e90 in the launching will have the 4.0 Liter V8 engine and
was expected to offer an AWD package which was originally adapted from the X3
driveline.
