BMW M3 e30

The BMW m3 e30 was considered as the true M3, it being the homologation special
and an ultimate racecar that reached a redline at 7000 rpm. It was actually created
with the motorsport in the manufacturer's mind though it was not really considered
as a racing car. The e30 also received several upgrades and increased performance.
Later, it was called the Evolution II and offered an intensified overall performance.
Produced in Germany from 1986-1991, this car weighs 1300 kilos or 2866 lbs.
This rear wheel drive car carried a Straight 4 double overhead cam with 4-valves/cylinder
engines that was longitudinally located at the front powered it. It was a 2.302
Liter engine with Bosch Electronic Fuel injection and was naturally aspirated.
This powertrain provides 200 bhp at 6720 rpm and 177 lb-ft of torque at 4750 rpm.
It has a top speed of 235 km/h and accelerates at 6.5 seconds in the range of
0-60 mph. It was paired with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.
At the end of the production of this e30, the M3 convertible was introduced.
This featured a stock 3-Series trunklid without the M motorsport wing.
