2003 BMW M3

In 2003, the BMW M3 received additional standard features including a rain sensing
windshield wipers, automatic headlight control and single-disc CD player. Also,
the vehicle's navigation system was improved and became DVD-based and there was
an added CD player in the system. This year's two trims, the coupe and the convertible,
were powered by a 3.2 Liter Inline-6 engine that give off 333 horsepower at 7900
rpm and 262 lb-ft of torque at 4900 rpm. A standard 6-speed manual transmission
with overdrive was included in its drivetrain. Fuel economy data on the coupe
are 16 mpg in city and 24 mpg in highway while in the convertible are 16 mpg in
city and 23 mpg in highway driving.
The '03 M3 offered convenience and entertainment features that include air conditioning,
power windows, power door locks, leather seats and CD player which comes as standard
on both trims. The power seats come standard on the convertible while it comes
available as an option on the coupe along with sunroof. Maximum seating capacity
still remained 5 on the coupe and 4 on the convertible. A cassette player and
Navigation System comes as options on both the coupe and the convertible. Safety
features for this year's M3 includes standard ABS brakes, traction control, stability
control and driver, passenger, and side airbags.
