2001 BMW M3

The year 2001 is the same year the coupe had made its return with a 3.2 Liter
Inline 6-cylinder engine that rated 333 horsepower. Along with this engine are
features such as a standard 6-speed manual transmission, an M-Style 18-inches
cast alloy wheels and an M-Sport suspension calibration. The convertible was still
available also carrying a 3.2 Liter Inline-6 engine with 333 horsepower. Both
trims achieved a 262 lb-ft of torque at 4900 rpm. A 6-speed manual transmission
was also standard on the convertible just like in the coupe. On fuel economy data,
both trims got 16 mpg in city while the coupe got 24 mpg in highway driving and
the convertible got 23 mpg.
This year's edition of M3 pleased both the passengers and drivers with its features
of convenience and entertainment equipments common to M3 vehicles. For convenience,
there are standard features such as air conditioning, power windows, power door
locks and leather seats. Power seats are available as standard only for convertibles
and comes as option on the coupe. Power sunroof, on the other hand, comes optional
for both the coupe and the convertible. Maximum seating capacity is 5 on the coupe
and 4 on the convertible.
For entertainment, 2001 M3 offered standard cassette player for both trims while
a CD player and Navigation System were available as options. This year's safety
features include a driver airbag, passenger air bag, side air bag, ABS brakes
and traction control all available as standard equipment.
