1999 BMW M3

In 1999, BMW M3 came in without any changes except that the sedan was dropped.
This year's M3 was powered by 3.2 Liter Inline-6 that rated 240 horsepower at
6000 rpm and 236 lb-ft of torque at 3800 rpm. A 5-speed manual transmission was
still the standard while the 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive was
available as option for the convertible. Fuel economy data for the coupe includes
19 mpg in city and 26 mpg in highway while the convertible includes 17-19 mpg
in city and 25-26 in highway driving. The coupe, this year, remained to have a
maximum seating capacity of 5 while the convertible's became 4.
Standard comfort and convenience features include air conditioning, power windows,
power door locks and leather seats. A sunroof and power seats still came available
as options for both trims. For entertainment, both the coupe and the convertible
offered cassette player as standard equipment while a CD player and Navigation
System comes optional. The '99 M3, like other BMW, offered safety equipments that
include standard ABS brakes, traction control and driver, passenger and side airbags.
