1997 BMW M3
The 1997 BMW M3 came in available in two trims, the coupe and the sedan. Both
trims were powered by a 3.2 Liter Inline-6 engine that generated 240 horsepower
at 6000 rpm and 236 lb-ft of torque at 3800 rpm. Such engine has a displacement
of 3152 cc and can reach a redline at 6800 rpm. This M3 is a rear wheel drive
that has front-engine and has curb weight of 3150 lbs. Its powertrain were paired
with a standard 5-speed manual transmission and achieved a 19.8 miles per gallon
power-fuel data. It has a limited top speed of 137 mph. Fuel economy data for
the coupe are 20 in city and 28 in highway while the sedan got 19-20 in city and
28 in highway driving.
